Our MEMBERSHIP FEE is $25.00 per family; in addition, our SUGGESTED DONATION is $75 per child. Larger donations are always accepted with tremendous gratitude!
To become a member, you must complete the following:
1) The membership+donation form
2) We are accepting membership dues by Venmo, cash, or check.
Your PTO membership will give you:
Free/reduced admission to many of our events
Enable you to take on volunteer roles within the school, such as class parent
Give you voting rights
Access to our PTO General meetings
Family memberships and donations are a significant source of funding for the PTO, enabling continued support of our amazing school! Your financial contribution allows us to sponsor many programs and events that enhance the standard school curriculum and benefit every child at Mt. Horeb. Examples of our events include:
● Family Fun Events: Welcome Back Gators Family Music & Movie Night, Trunk-Or-Treat, Family Reading Night (Preschool - 3rd), Horeb has Heart Fundraising Dance, and the district-wide Somerset Patriots Night.
● Curriculum Enrichment: Book Fair (Preschool-5th), Holiday Boutique (K-5th), Author’s Day, Career Day, Science Fair (3rd-5th), Family Math Night (K-2nd), and our whole school full-day Field Day!
● Teacher & Staff Appreciation Events: Teacher-Home Room Parent Luncheon, Staff send off for Winter/Spring Breaks; Staff Appreciation Week: a fun-filled theme week of door decorating, school-wide decor, breakfast, lunch, desserts, raffle baskets, and more! Teacher classroom wish-list fulfillment; Holiday & Year-End gifts to every staff member at Mt. Horeb.
● Back- to-School Kick-off with: Kindergarten Playground Get-Together, School spirit shirts for all students (Preschool - 5th) and new staff members; Welcome Back Ice Cream Social for students; Teacher & Staff Welcome Back Breakfast. PTO First General Meeting and Welcome Back Breakfast, and Home Room Parent & Teacher Luncheon.
● Classroom Events: Five class parties throughout the school year, with games and crafts supplied to each child (Kindergarten – 5th). Preschool classroom parties supported by the PTO, held at the discretion of each individual preschool teacher.
● Fifth Grade: Five class parties (Halloween, New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, Pi Day, & End of the Year), 5th Grade District-Wide Event, Yearbooks gifted to each 5th grader, 5th grade teacher, and school library/front office.
● School Enhancements through beautification, front display board, birthday board, &
maintenance of the school garden, with harvesting in the spring, for delicious veggies
offered at lunch!
● Monthly Ice Cream: for all of our students, a sweet treat once a month on behalf of the
PTO!
