Our MEMBERSHIP FEE is $25.00 per family, and our SUGGESTED DONATION is $75 per child. Larger donations are always accepted with tremendous gratitude!
To become a member, you must complete the following:
1) The membership+donation form
2) Payment by check or Venmo
- Please make checks - payable to “Mt. Horeb PTO” and indicate your child(ren’s) name(s) and class(es) when submitting. You can mail checks directly to the school or send them into school with your child.
- Paying by Venmo - search @Mthoreb-Gators. Also, please indicate your child(ren’s) name(s) and class(es) in the comments section.
Your PTO membership will give you:
- Free/reduced admission to many of our events
- Enable you to take on volunteer roles within the school, such as class parent
- Give you voting rights and access to our PTO meetings, and receive online directory access
Family memberships and donations are a significant source of funding for the PTO, enabling continued support of our amazing school! Your financial contribution allows us to sponsor many programs and events that enhance the standard school curriculum and benefit every child at Mt. Horeb. Examples of our events include:
- Family Fun Events: Welcome Back Gators Music/Movie Night!, Trunk-Or-Treat, Family Reading Night, district-wide Somerset Patriots Night, Spring Family Music/Movie Night
- Curriculum Enrichment: International Day, Career Day, Science Fair, Pi Day, Author’s Day, and our full-day Field Day!
- Staff Appreciation Events: Staff Appreciation Week, a fun-filled theme week of breakfasts, lunches, desserts, massages, raffle baskets, and more! Teacher classroom wish-list fulfillment, Holiday & Year-End gifts to staff.
- Back- to-School Kick-off with: School spirit shirts for all students (Preschool - 5th grade) and staff members; Welcome Back ice cream social for students; Staff Welcome Back Luncheon.
- Classroom Events: Five class parties throughout the school year, with games and crafts supplied to each child.
- Fifth Grade: Yearbooks gifted to each 5 th grader and 5th grade teacher, as well as the 5 th grade District Wide Event, 5th grade Graduation & End of the Year party (in addition to the other 4 parties throughout the year) School Enhancements through beautification, front display board, birthday board, & maintenance of the school garden.
